Tracing your Family Tree

The Philip B Wilson Library does not deal with genealogy requests as such, as the Library does not have primary resource material to support this kind of extensive research. However, the Library can advise people on where they can get information, for example Public Records Office (NI) and where they can access local records. The Library also has maps, photographs and a small number of books which would be useful for people who are just starting out on their research. In terms of the Quaker collection, this is more useful to people searching for Quaker families and the Library can provide a catalogue of all the books in the collection. Any requests which the Library receive and cannot answer from within their library resources are generally dealt with through the provision of alternative sources of information and the Library is happy to do this.
